I have a set of xt brakes i use on my commuter.. pre servo wave. Get on rather well with them.

Nice frame.. and as you've said gradual upgrades will improve the way it rides with time..
Most cost effective upgrade in terms of performance versus pounds.. is always wheels. something like pro2 on mavic 717 will add some zip. |

I tend to ride a medium frame (6ft2 34" leg) Its got a nicer spec now with Rockshox Revs which are considerably lighter than the mxpro. |

ah at the lightest its 28lbs its now got pro2 on 717 with xt brakes and xt chainset..
i'll update the pic very soon. It fly's uphill. If i ditched the forks for something from rockshox i'd be able to make it lighter still. Owning my charge which is steel has however proved a bike does'nt have to be light to ride well |

To suplement the tf sticker you need them pushed next to tune them so they're better for either low or high speed performance hehe!

A new stem might set you back 50 quid after all. |
